Today is the last game of the YMCA Winter Basketball season. I've had such a great time watching Tanner coach and watching Chase play. It also warms my heart that Chase really loves having his dad be the coach. I think it makes him feel special.
Someone who probably doesn't feel special is Riley. We drag her along everywhere - it's so different to be the third child vs. the first! =)
Before game warm-ups~
Chase scored a lot of points this game. (I think Tanner secretly tried to let Chase have the most shots). Chase thinks he had 10 points, but Tanner thought it was 8. Since no record is kept (and I have the memory of a gnat), I'll give Chase the benefit of the doubt. Chase loves to score. I can see how he has extra pep in his step as he runs back to "play" defense after he makes a shot.
After the game, we had a room in the YMCA to have our banquet. Our team mom did such a great job of organizing the food, drinks, balloons and even put together gift bags for the players.
Tanner said a few words about each player~
With his number 1 player~
The team was so thoughtful and generous - they gave Tanner a gift card along with a thank you note~
Poor little Jayden's face was swollen - we're still not sure why, but that didn't stop her from running around like a mad woman~
She also couldn't get the cake down fast enough~
