2011 New Year’s Eve

For Jayden’s first New Year’s Eve, we spent the night at home and had some of our dearest friends come over for dinner and board games. First we did some poses by the Christmas tree. In the recent past, Chase usually runs away when I bring out the camera. It’s “interesting” how Chase is now willing to pose for photos when we start taking them of Jayden.

Christmas 2011

Christmas was extra special this year because we had both of our families together. Chase and Jayden are lucky to be the first grandchildren on both side as they get nicely spoiled with attention from everyone.
This Christmas was probably the first time that Chase was fully able to enjoy and appreciate all the presents. He loved opening his stocking presents first~

He also opened Jayden’s stocking and surrounded her with her gifts while she peacefully slept~

Papa always seems to be Chase’s favorite “Logue”~ 100_2275

Chase loved this ferry boat from G&G Logue because it reminds him of all the ferries that we see from their house~

Little Jayden mostly slept the day away~

Later in the day, Uncle Marcus and the rest of the Nishiharas and Endows came over for Christmas dinner~100_2287

The Isaksens – Kamery is expecting her first baby in April. It seems that she is especially enamored with Baby Jayden. Auntie Kamery is always holding her and making sure that she's happy. Her maternal instincts seem to be in hyper-drive – which is much appreciated by Jayden’s Mommy~

Auntie Naomi brought her yummy won-tons. A family gathering doesn’t feel the same without one of Auntie’s delicious fried foods, it’s so comforting~100_2294

Another one of Chase’s favorite people is Uncle Dean~100_2298

Most of our family gatherings look like this. All the men watching TV~100_2299

Uncle Henry loves babies. He’s such an awesome helper because he’ll carry Jayden for hours~

One of Chase’s presents to Auntie Naomi was this apron with their picture on it. She seemed very happy to get it~

One of Chase’s “favorite shows” is Olivia. He was so happy to get this stuffed animal from Uncle Ron~100_2306

And of course, since he LOVES candy, Chase was ecstatic to receive this jellybean machine from Grandma Nish~

Jayden was not very happy to be posing for pictures. I think she was tired~

Around 8:30PM, we decided to go for a walk and see Christmas lights. We bundled Jayden up warmly and took her for her first night excursion~100_2240100_2241100_2242100_2243100_2245100_2252100_2255
