This week is spring break for Chase's pre-school, so it was perfect timing to get his cavities filled. He had two cavities between his right bottom molars. The dentist felt that they should be taken care of as these molars do not fall out until Chase is 12 or 13 years old.
After a promise of going to McDonald's and ToysRUs to spend a gift card from Grandma Nish that was given to him at Christmas - Chase was prepared to go to the dentist. Overall he did really well. They gave him an oral medication called Versed to make him relaxed and they also used "happy gas". He listened well and followed all instructions. The only hairy part was when the dentist was giving Chase the novocaine shots. Chase started yelling, "Ow" and crying. Then he started to raise his arms, but the nurse gently held his arm down while the dentist talked to Chase and tried to calm him down. After those excruciating moments were over, the drilling and filling went fine. Chase and I made a promise to take better care of his teeth. We don't want to go through this again.
Chase, we are so proud of you...you are such a big boy to have gone through that at your age. Love you all so much Auntie Karen and Uncle Bob.
