Charley’s Haircut

Charley is now five months and had her first haircut on 12/8. It didn’t turn out quite how we expected.

I think since she’s 75% poodle, her face and ears are too different from the dog in the picture I wanted-

Chase cried a bit when he saw her, lol, but I reassured him that her hair would grow back quickly. Jayden loved it because she’s thinks Charley looks more “bouzy” now...I think that’s slang for bourgeoisie. Riley said, “it’s funny how her face is so chubby and her body is so skinny.”

Nevertheless, we all agree that her hair is softer than ever and we all love her so much!

More Chippy Adventures

Last night Chippy decided to zip line-

Our elf Chippy came on December 1st. He usually doesn’t do anything, but this morning he decided to have a little fun-

The first thing each kiddo said when they saw Chippy was, "He wasted a lot of our toilet paper!". Lol!

Snowman Ornaments

The girls’ school posted some cute ideas for DIY ornaments. Since we always have lots of wine corks floating around here, we decided to paint them white and turn them into Snowman ornaments. I think the kids did a great job!

We were even able to drag Chase away from his computer:

Jayden took her time and had a good idea to bring out the hot glue gun to put on ear muffs-

Riley made 4 of them!

Tanner now believes that it is his responsibility to provide the kids with as many wine corks as he can - for love of the arts, of course!

Bonfire

Last night we had our first bonfire at home. It was a nice change to spend the evening outside instead of in front of electronics. The kids LOVED being able to make s’mores in their driveway.

4th of July 2020

For the 4th of July we had the Isaksens, Grandma and Ron, and Uncle Marcus, over for a family get together. The kids all swam during the day and we ate ribs, salmon, corn (Grandma made), somen salad (Kamery), sliders, wagu beef steak (Marcus), orzo with roasted veggies, spam musubi (Me) and rice, of course. I always forget to take pictures of the food because I’m too busy eating.

The Isaksens brought over some small fireworks so we had our own little show on the driveway. The kids had so much fun!

Mrs. Anderson instructed the students to find things around the house that they could repurpose. Jayden decided to make “night vision goggles”

More Days Of Our Lives

During this time at home we’re still watching A LOT of electronics. The deal is that before the kids can use electronics, they have to finish all their school work for the day and do some physical activities which include running a mile, making baskets, and hitting off the baseball tee (Chase). We always seem to start off strong and I do a good job of enforcing the deal.....but then we all get lazy....

We're trying to get outside for mental health and physical exercise - most of the times we don't do it, but one Thursday we finally made it to the beach~

We celebrated Miles' 6th birthday in the Isakesen's backyard~

The kids have discovered the joys of washing a car. Although they really only want to sit on the roof~

There's also been a lot of fort building~

Memorial Day 2020

Jayden and Riley wanted to wear matching outfits -

Finally getting to play with someone. So fun to have cousins come over and swim-

This Memorial Day we had Grandma Nish, Ron, Marcus, and the Isaksen family over. We stayed outside for the most part and enjoyed Stonefire Grill takeout bought by Grandma Nish. It was nice to gather together and have an almost “normal party”.
