While waiting for Uncle Mar’s flight to arrive, Chase made this “skyscraper” out of blocks~
Still refuses to take a normal picture – wonder who taught him this pose, it’s his favorite~
Little Jay still sleeps a lot~
Jayden received this beautiful quilt made by Bernard’s wife, Melissa. I just love all the pinks and cute patterns. I tried to do a photo shoot with Jay, but she spent most of her time looking at her toes~
Uncle Mar arrived and helped with holding Jayden~

3/27/12 Notes
In an effort to decrease his desire to watch TV, I taught Chase how to play games on the computer. Hmmmm, not sure if there's too much of a difference. However, Chase has loved these new computer games and is learning to use the mouse. He's become quite good at moving the mouse and clicking on objects in only two days. We go to the nickjr.com website where he can play games featuring characters from his favorite NickJr TV shows. So far his favorites are the Backyardigans car race and Team Umizoomi's shape snatcher.
Jayden can roll from her tummy to her back over her right shoulder.

Chase - 3.18.2012
Tanner: "Chase are you building a castle?"
Chase: "Actually, it's a sky scraper."
While in a timeout to calm down from throwing a tantrum, "mommy, can you set the timer?"
Chase doesn't like bedtime and can almost always rope Tanner into lying down with him because he says, "Daddy, let's cuddle."

Silly Chase
Lately whenever a camera is aimed at Chase, he strikes a pose similar to this~
And if we try to take a picture with Jayden only, he likes to come in the frame with his little silly face~
Jayden finds him fascinating~
So do we~

Disneyland with Grandma Nish
Chase is a very lucky boy – Grandma Nish decided to take Chase to Disneyland as a reward for being such an awesome big brother. Before they headed out, Chase made Grandma some coffee to go~
At Disneyland, Chase went on many rides and especially enjoyed watching the parade~
He made Grandma go on the bumper car ride twice, it was his favorite~
He also got the chance to eat lots of sweets like this huge lollipop~
One VERY HAPPY big brother~
Back at the house, I made Jayden pose for pictures. Luckily she was a good sport~
She’s really getting the hang of sucking on her left thumb~
Chase and Grandma didn’t get home until 10:30pm. Chase didn’t even wake up when we transferred him from Grandma’s car to the couch~

Mini-Update March 10, 2012
Chase's memory surprises us sometimes. This morning Tanner mentioned to Chase that they should walk to Starbucks to get me coffee. Chase responded with "Get me a doughnut, uhhhh!" (with attitude). He remembered that last time we went to Starbucks he got a mini doughnut and that Tanner was making fun of him asking me for a donut.
Chase is trying to push his boundaries with us. After we say no to something, he'll ask, "Can we do it for just 5 minutes?" "Can we play for just 5 minutes?" And he uses his most angelic face and voice.
Chase can take off his pants and underwear and go to the bathroom all by himself, but he can't put anything back on. This leads to lots of naked bottom sightings around the house.
Jayden has found her hands. Sometimes I catch her staring at her fists. She's very sweet and has started smiling a lot! She usually wiggles and smiles when I talk to her. Her neck is very strong - she needs minimal support.
Spring Days
We’ve been filling our days with park play dates~
And we’ve been enjoying visits from family and friends who are meeting Jayden for the first time. We (I) especially LOVE when they help me out and domy job activities like bath time. Auntie Gloria, with five grandchildren of her own, is a very skilled bath giver~
And Auntie Naomi still helps me all the time with Chase~
We’re also excited about Kamery and Scott moving into our neighborhood~
We can’t wait until our new nephew/cousin arrives~

Chase & Friends
This Saturday, Chase’s preschool had a “working parents” day. Tanner went to Chase’s pre-school and got to see a glimpse of a typical pre-school day. Chase loved showing Tanner his classroom, activities and introducing his friends.
Chase and Aiden – best pre-school buddies~
Chase has also made some great friends in the neighborhood. Although he’s only three, somehow he’s convinced these older friends that he’s a lot of fun to hang out with~
We really enjoy watching him have fun with his friends~
Baby Jayden also manages to get attention from the older kids too~

Family Basketball Night
On Thursday night we all went to the USC vs UW basketball game at the Galen Center. It was Jayden’s first sporting event and we had a great time. Uncle Steve scored us some free tickets in an awesome seat location. Tanner and Chase showed their Husky colors~
We had a nice view of the court~
Tanner was especially happy because the Huskies easily beat the Trojans 80-58. After a particularly nice dunk by a Husky player, Chase asked, “Are the Trojans sad?”~
Chase stole my soda and was very possessive over it~
Jayden slept most of the game, but woke up during the last 5 minutes of the 4th quarter~
It was such a treat for us to be all out together. Thank you Uncle Steve~
