Braden’s B-Day

We had a great time at Silly Goose Playground for Braden’s birthday party. Chase was loving the slides~

With two kids, time seems to pass by faster than ever. Chase is still enjoying his two days/week at pre-school and it’s fun to see the art projects he brings home~

Nothing Better Than Sleeping Kids

I love glancing over to peek at the kids while they sleep. They’re so peaceful looking and sweet. I feel so lucky to be their mom~


When Chase is sleeping, it’s so easy to forget the tantrums, sassiness and whining that he sometimes loves to display. All that has been replaced by this angelic face~

Thank goodness Grandma Nish has been staying the night to help with the late feedings. I’m still feeling super tired~

Ron’s 60th Surprise Party

Grandma Nish threw Ron a surprise 60th birthday party on Saturday night. We arrived early and helped set up the signs~

The surprise part went perfectly! Ron thought he was coming to OCBC to help a friend get something before heading off to a dance. He was so surprised when he opened the door and 60+ people were shouting, “SURPRISE!”~


It was Jayden’s first “night out”. Auntie Erin took care of her while we were setting up for the party. Jayden slept and slept~

Silly Goose Playground

My first solo “outing with both kids” was to Silly Goose Playground. It was empty and Chase joyfully had the whole play structure to himself. He went down the slide over and over again. Baby Jayden slept the whole time in her car seat and (of course) I forgot to take a picture of her.
We only stayed here for 1.5 hours because I was worried that Jayden would wake up soon and be very hungry. Chase was a very good sport about leaving. He seems to be more willing to do be a “good listener” when I tell him that “Baby Jayden needs us to do” something.

Quiet Evenings at Home

Chase is a really good brother. He likes to hold Jayden and lets me know whenever she cries. He’s always concerned about her happiness~


And her ears – Chase loves to play with Jayden’s ears. So far, she doesn’t mind~

Chase also loves to be silly. He rarely will let me take a picture of him looking straight into the camera~

Most of our evenings are spent on the couch watching TV cuddled up next to Daddy~

Tanner’s body is a comfy resting spot for Jayden~

It’s a much quieter (and more tiring) life with a newborn, but we wouldn’t trade it for anything…
